Due to the demand for special school needs in Mamelodi, the learner roll has increased as

well as staffing. Tshegofatsong expresses its gratitude to Gauteng Department of Education who helped with provision of Mobile classes to ease up the demand for classroom space.

Tshegofatsong Special School has got an approved building plan by the local Municipality for the construction of a school hall and 6 classrooms. Currently the school has just succeeded in registering the institution as an Non Profit Organisation (NPO). Now a way has been opened for Tshegofatsong to apply for funding for the construction of the school hall and classrooms since the NPO registration has been done.

The School is still using the mobile classes and old building structures for lessons, prevocational skills, primary health care services, Learners’ nutritional services and Occupational Therapy Services.

The school Kitchen is used for the feeding program for the learners.
